These images were generated from an Eonfusion scene that combines land shapes, bathymetry, transect defintions and an array of fish abundance estimates derived from echosounding. The fish abundance estimates were generated from data gathered during multiple surveys per year over the course of several years. Once the data are in the scene it's simply a matter of moving the time slider to see the changes in fish distribution within a given year and from year to year.
The scale-independent nature of Eonfusion's data handling engine and scene view means that the original high-resolution raw data can also be loaded into the scene and viewed with the spatially summarized plots. This provides an intuitive and dynamic environment within which outliers and anomalies can quickly and easy be investigated within the source data.
Myriax gratefully acknowledge Chris Wilson and Paul Walline (NOAA-NMFS Alaska Fisheries Science Center) for providing these data.
